In 2015, Door International and Deaf missions released an article stating: “Deaf people – considered as a global people group – represent one of the largest people groups worldwide that are unreached and unengaged with the gospel. It is estimated that out of 70 million Deaf people worldwide, less than 2% of Deaf people are Christ followers.”

According to the Joshua Project, there are over 80,000 people in Togo who are deaf.

In West Africa, the Deaf are marginalized. They are unengaged and unreached with the Gospel. We are building relationships and engaging Gospel conversations with the Deaf. We want to disciple and equip the Deaf with the good news of the gospel. They can then go and make disciples, reaching the Deaf for Christ.
