COVID or not?

“I tested positive for COVID.” My heart sank as I read the message from someone I had been in close contact with. School had only been in session for a few weeks. Now, I would have to be quarantined for 14 days. This was not how I expected to start off the school year.

Fear began to creep into my heart as I wondered if my seasonal allergy symptoms were actually COVID symptoms. Paranoid as I was, I decided to go and get tested. I pulled into the COVID testing site and gave the employee my information. As I anxiously waited, I remembered 1 Peter 5:7: “Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.” I said a quick prayer; and then I had peace that, positive or negative, God is in control and bigger than COVID. Thankfully, my results came back negative.

Something positive that happened this month was that a missionary colleague from Togo came and visited. I was able to meet up with her and two other Togo missionaries from the area for lunch. It was a great reunion and time catching up!

This month I started working full time at a school. Along with working, I've been setting up meetings with potential partners to present my ministry. Meetings didn’t slow down during my quarantine, as I was able to meet with some people virtually to share my ministry!

Thank you for your faithful praying and giving to my ministry! My monthly support went from 24% to 38% this month! Praise the Lord! Would you like to help me reach my next goal of 50%? I would love to share with you the awesome work the Lord is doing in Togo.
